Difficulties dealing with three feet of snow in six days were to be expected as Anne Arundel County was pummeled with two back-to-back massive storms starting February 5^th.   However, the county could have done a much better job if it had used existing GPS technology to manage operations.

With huge deficits foreseeable for the next several years, we need to stop focusing on short-term measures to balance the budget and figure out how we can deliver the services important to our citizens far more efficiently.
